Alignment Option CKR01 – Side-by-side Tunnel along Kansu Street |

This option enters into a side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel on the north side of Kansu Street, which affects several existing government facilities such as the old and new wings of the Police Station and the Jockey Club Specialist Clinic Extension building. The alignment then enters into a twin-bored tunnel on the west side of Nathan Road, and passes below the MTR lines.

Alignment Option CKR02 – Side-by-side Tunnel along Kansu Street |

This option is based on CKR01, that the cut-and-cover tunnel runs along Kansu Street, except that the alignment has been shifted southwards so that the side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel avoids the old and new wings of the Police Station, however, it hits the Specialist Clinic Extension building, two private residential buildings and the CLP 400 kV substation building.

Alignment Option CKR03 – Side-by-side Tunnel along Kansu Street |

This option is also based on CKR01, that the cut-and-cover tunnel runs along Kansu Street, except that the alignment has been shifted less southwards than CKR02 such that the side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel avoids the old wing of the Police Station. However, this option still affects the new wing of the Police Station and the Specialist Clinic Extension building.

Alignment Option CKR04 – Side-by-side Tunnel along Kansu Street |

This option is based on CKR02, except that the alignment has been shifted further southwards such that the side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel avoids the old and new wings of the Police Station and the Specialist Clinic Extension building. However, the tunnel affects more buildings on the south side of Kansu Street, including several private residential buildings, the CLP 400 kV substation building and YMT Market.

Alignment Option CKR05 – Double Deck Tunnel along Kansu Street |

This option comprises a double-deck cut-and-cover tunnel along Kansu Street. This arrangement avoids the buildings on the south side of Kansu Street as well as the old and new wings of the Police Station, but not the Specialist Clinic Extension building. However, this option requires relatively deep excavation and a relatively steep vertical alignment for the bottom deck.

Alignment Option CKR06 – Side-by-side Tunnel Along Tung Kun Street |

This option comprises a side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel on the north side of Tung Kun Street, which affects Yau Ma Tei Catholic Primary School, Tung Kun District Society Fong Shu Chuen School, Wan Chai Church Kei To School and numerous private residential buildings.

Alignment Option CKR07 – Elevated Flyover Along Waterloo Street |

This option comprises a side-by-side elevated structure along Waterloo Road, across Nathan Road, with the road entering into twin-bored tunnel on the east side of Nathan Road. The elevated structure would pass very close to numerous private residential buildings where the minimum clearance of 4.5m cannot be achieved and will affect the Lutheran Secondary School.

Alignment Option CKR08 – Split Tunnel along Kansu Street and Public Square Street |

This option comprises split cut-and-cover tunnels at YMT, with the eastbound tunnel running along Public Square Street and the westbound tunnel running along Kansu Street. The concept behind this arrangement is to avoid the buildings on either side of these streets. However, Public Square Street is relatively narrow and is bounded by Prosperous Garden on the north side of the street. More nos. of emergency exits are required for split tunnels.

This option comprises split cut-and-cover tunnels, with the eastbound tunnel running along Tung Kun Street and the westbound tunnel running along Public Square Street. The concept behind this arrangement is to avoid the buildings on either side of these streets. However, both streets are relatively narrow and are bounded by Prosperous Garden between them. More nos. of emergency exits for are required for split tunnels.

Alignment Option CKR11 – Deep Tunnel Option |

This option comprises a relatively deep twin-bored tunnel under YMT, which commences within the New YMT Typhoon Shelter, and passes underneath the West Kowloon Highway, Tung Chung Line, Airport Express Line, Kowloon Southern Link and Express Rail Link. Although this option avoids affecting YMT district directly, it requires reclamation within the typhoon shelter and reconstruction of YMT Interchange.

Alignment Option CKR12 – Side-by-side Tunnel along Jordan Road |

This option comprises a side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel along Jordan Road. In order to avoid the buildings in Ferry Point, the curve of the alignment connecting to Yau Ma Tei Interchange is sharper and cannot achieve normal requirement. Moreover, the tunnel will affect the Kowloon Southern Link and a number of private buildings along Jordan Road.

Alignment Option CKR13 – Side-by-side Tunnel along Waterloo Street |

This option comprises a side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel along Waterloo Road. This option would affect numerous private buildings and require the relocation of the large stormwater culvert that runs underneath Waterloo Road and induce major traffic impacts in Waterloo Road.

Alignment Option CKR14 – Side-by-side Tunnel along Saigon Street |

This option comprises a side-by-side cut-and-cover tunnel on the north side of Saigon Street. The west tunnel portal will affect the private development site located on the west side of Ferry Street, and this option also affects Saigon Street Playground, the cooked food stalls on Temple Street and the numerous private residential buildings.
