Central Kowloon Route
The Consultant reviewed the previously proposed alignment options and proposed new alignment options for the Central Kowloon Route (CKR). The review process took into account the views of public and relevant government departments, as well as environmental, social & cultural, land take, traffic and engineering factors. More in-depth study of engineering feasibility and impacts were then conducted in developing a preferred scheme.

In 2008, we consulted the relevant District Councils and the Legislative Council Panel on Transport on the findings and recommendations. We have then proceeded with the preliminary design and detailed impact studies of the CKR. The preliminary design of the CKR is now substantially completed.
